Sunny but windy conditions greeted Ferrari and McLaren today as they continued to test alone at the new Algarve facility in Portugal. The second day of running saw the constructors' championship winning team run its test drivers following the early exit of Felipe Massa yesterday after feeling unwell. Luca Badoer and Marc Gene took the new 4.492km circuit and continued on finding the best set-up for the car fitted with 2009 spec tyres and on evaluating ‘new solutions’ for next season. Badoer also proceeded with the endurance test of the engine, which began last week. He completed 71 laps with a best time of 1:31.320s, while Gene was 1.756s slower over 51 laps. Tomorrow is the final day of testing at this circuit for the team and Luca Badoer will be the sole Ferrari driver on track.
