The Lions Clube de Loulé would like to remind everyone that they have another charity sale on Sunday January 18th at the Centro Comunitário 9.30am – 12pm. Admission is free and refreshments are available. On sale will be very good quality winter clothing including coats, jackets and men’s’ work clothes, shoes, linen, bric-a-brac and books, all at bargain prices.The following sale will be again at the Centro Comunitário Almancil on Sunday March 22nd, with a great range of spring and summer clothes. As always the Lions are grateful for the donation of all sale items. Collection can be arranged by ringing 289 845 581 or 289 416 659.
The Lions will be donating much of the proceeds from this year’s sales towards improvement work at the Centro Comunitário in Almancil.
The Loulé Lions are supporting a ‘Retrospective Art’ exhibition of local artist and ‘Lion’, Marianela de Vasconcelos, commencing on Saturday, February 14th to March 28th at the Galeria de Arte Convento Espirito Santo, near the Universidade do Algarve, in Loulé.
Marianela, who sadly passed away in 2007, was an accomplished artist, teacher and writer. Many of her works in watercolour, acrylics and charcoals will be exhibited. Available will be her recently edited book of poems, stories and illustrations.
