Escape to some spring sunshine on the Algarve

Algarve Select, the leading independent specialist of tailor-made beach and golf holidays to Portugal’s sunshine coast, has some great deals during March at Boavista Golf & Health Spa Resort, Lagos.

For example, a group of four can enjoy a self-catering holiday in a luxury 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom pool view apartment from just £55 per night, which works out at less than £14 per person per night! Visitors can look forward to Sky TV and air conditioning in a variety of luxury villas and apartments, all of which are furnished to the highest standards.

After the 3-hour flight to Faro Airport, Boavista is easy to find – just a 45 minute drive to the end of the A22 motorway brings visitors to the Resort, where the onsite management team, Careways, is on hand to extend a warm welcome.

Developed by Alderley Edge-based The Emerson Group, Boavista is primarily a residential golf course development and holiday destination, but with the recent opening of a brand new state-of-the-art Clubhouse it offers so much more.

Widely regarded as the golfing jewel of the Algarve, Boavista offers a beautifully landscaped Championship course, and the Clubhouse provides a heated indoor pool, health and spa facilities and beauty treatments. For younger members of the family there’s a children’s play area, tennis courts and football facilities.

Holiday makers may find a very real temptation to spend most of their time here but away from the Resort there’s much to see and do. Just 5 minutes away, historic Lagos is a lively cosmopolitan town with its own Marina and its busy cosmopolitan bars and restaurants create a very special night time atmosphere. Boasting a wealth of history and culture, Lagos offers also several fine beaches in the vicinity.

Further afield there is a dramatic coastline with lots of unspoilt beaches to explore - amongst the usual water sports surfing is also popular around Salema. As well as Lagos, places teeming with rich Portuguese maritime history include Sagres and Cape St Vincent. Inland the fortress town of Silves and the Monchique mountains are well worth a visit.

And then of course there’s golf! A round in March costs just €62 and golfers of all abilities are always impressed by the course, which is spread over 260 acres and has already established an excellent reputation for itself. Making full use of the land’s natural features, the course is a pleasure to play and after an enjoyable round in the Algarve sun, the Clubhouse offers welcome refreshment and relaxation.

Holidays to the sun-drenched Algarve are all about choice and flexibility, with flights available from over 25 UK and Irish airports, flexible departure days and durations from three nights upwards. Algarve Select holds ABTA membership and its holidays are ATOL protected. Book online at boavistaholidays.com.
